About the position

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proposal and renewal rating process and presentations that include the calculation of rates, broker fees, and premium comparisons in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Required to review and proofread all documents submitted to internal departments to ensure accurate benefit administration according to contract or custom benefits.
  • Required to act on behalf of the sales rep to provide accurate information and quality customer service to groups in a timely manner.
  • Explains benefit options and underwriting regulations associated with group sales and enrollment.
  • Maintain accurate system information for key performance areas.
  • Liaise with groups/brokers and refer issues and questions to the appropriate internal subject matter experts.
  • Manage high email volumes and respond to emails/inquiries within service level agreements.
  • Coordinate travel, meeting schedules, and materials for sales representative/s and assist with meetings as requested.
  • Maintains the office setting by ordering supplies, light maintenance and cleaning and opening and closing the office space.
  • Conduct in person or virtual group administrator meetings.
  • Assist with service and retention of existing groups.
  • May require lifting, bending, and loading supplies and small office equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with working multiple projects, prioritizing, tracking workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Strong excel experience necessary for data analytics and development of new spreadsheets with formulas is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and professionalism.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow both verbal and written instruction is required.
  • The ability to set daily and weekly work goals is required.
  • The ability to self-direct with high self-accountability is required.
  • Exceptionally high level of attention to detail; extremely well-organized.
  • Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; an engaging personality in person and on the phone.
  • Ability to make in person presentations for a variety of audiences.
  • A team player; highly committed to the overall success of the team.
  • A strong customer (both internal and external) focus and consistent follow through on commitments.
  • Technology savvy and comfortable learning new systems.
  • Requires the ability to successfully handle a heavy workload in a high-pressure environment with a high volume of email, electronic messaging, and phone interruptions while meeting deadlines.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driving License.
  • Must sign a non-compete agreement.
