Schwab’s AI Strategy & Transformation team, known as AI.x, is the central hub for Artificial Intelligence at Schwab. We are an integrated product, engineering, strategy and risk team, all based in San Francisco. We help set the enterprise vision for AI, invest in the most promising opportunities, and accelerate delivery across the company. We also build the core platform that powers AI at scale and explore next-generation GenAI efforts that will redefine how we serve our clients.

 

As the AI Strategy & Business Operations Analyst on AI.x, you will play an essential role in advancing Schwab’s priorities by driving the analysis and execution of innovative AI business solutions. As the AI Strategy & Business Operations Analyst, you will lead the assessment, documentation, and iteration of advanced AI-driven business requirements that elevate client engagement and deliver business value. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, researchers, and business leaders to align analytical efforts with Schwab’s enterprise strategy. You will participate in mentoring and sharing knowledge with junior team members, helping to build strong business analysis practices and foster a culture of continuous learning. You will contribute to solving complex analytical challenges, supporting business standards, and driving experimentation from concept to implementation. Above all, you will bring curiosity, creativity, and expertise to help propel the next generation of AI-powered experiences at Schwab.

 

What You’ll Do 

  • AI Pipeline Metrics: Define what metrics and KPIs need to be tracked to help capture quantitative and qualitative analysis on progress of AI initiatives, including cost savings, efficiency gains, and user experience improvements. 
  • AI Tool Adoption & Usage: Monitor usage metrics and adoption trends across business units for various AI tools deployed to internal employees. Collaborate with Change Management teams to inform enablement and training efforts. 
  • Identify & Communicate Insights: Through data analysis, proactively seek out and pinpoint patterns & opportunities to leverage AI into business processes and client solutions.

What you have


Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, or related field. 
  • 5-7+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or product operations. 
  • 3+ years of experience working with AI/ML initiatives or emerging technologies. 
  • 5-7 years of experience in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), Excel, and SQL. 
  • 5-7+ years of experience defining KPIs and measuring business impact.
  • 5-7+ years of demonstrated stakeholder communication and engagement. 
  • Experience demonstrating a strategic mindset and passion for data-driven decision-making.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • MBA or Master's in Business Analytics, or related field. 
  • Familiarity with AI lifecycle, model performance metrics, and responsible AI principles. 
  • Experience working in financial services or regulated industries. 
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and leverage opportunities for collaboration between Schwab and other AI companies, ensuring productive and mutually beneficial connections.
