The pay range is $71,000.00 - $128,000.00 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. As a Category Manager for TargetPlus, you are responsible for managing a category and delivering GMV, Revenue and growing market share for your business. Using your expertise, you will bring the “art” to the “science” (intuition fueled by data and analytics) to grow your business. Here, you’ll own a wide SKU count so that your work is varied and challenging. Through cross-functional collaboration, instinct and creativity, you will be the expert on the guest, the market and the competition. You will build business relationships with the Target Merchandising team and TargetPlus partners and utilize data to help partners drive their business by identifying assortment gaps, whitespace opportunities, and by utilizing item productivity analysis to improve conversion. You will provide merchandising and marketing opportunities, collaborating with the Seller Communication team to help drive action and alignment. You will play a heavy role in developing and maintaining a promotional calendar (inclusive of item list creation and management), event QA, and will partner with comp shop pricing to be sure we are delivering the best assortment and value to our guest. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs. About you: • Four-year degree, B.S. and/or B.A. • 3+ years of experience in merchandising or inventory management, forecasting, and product selection (including managing and maintaining an open-to-buy and developing strong business relationships with sellers/vendors and industry leaders). • Strong analytical skills; able to gleen insights and make business decisions based on data • Experience within the digital space • Entrepreneurial mindset and outcome focused personality preferred, ability to work in an environment similar to a startup. • A performance-driven individual who demonstrates strong initiative and has superior leadership skills • Flexibility and resiliency; comfortable working in “grey areas” that are constantly changing • Comfortable taking risks, working through change and supporting creative chances • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with strong planning and organizational skills In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
