***Clinical Research Nurse***We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to play a critical role in implementing and performing research projects within our department. The successful candidate will collect and review clinical data, assist investigators, screen subjects, and provide support during clinical trials. The role involves providing and documenting professional nursing care for patients of all ages in accordance with the protocol, physician orders, institutional SOPs, and state licensure scope of practice.ResponsibilitiesUse professional nursing judgment when conducting nursing research activities with participants.Adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other applicable state and local regulations.Oversee and monitor the well-being and safety of study participants; identify and document Adverse Events (AEs) and report all AEs to the study team.Provide clear and comprehensive documentation of study visit activities while adhering to the study protocol and GCP guidelines.Operate and maintain research equipment according to departmental policy.Perform study-defined procedures and assessments, including vital signs, lab collection, lab processing, phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, etc., in strict compliance with the study protocol.Ensure all required consent forms are obtained prior to any research activities.Utilize evidence-based practice methods to improve participant care and study conduct.Be flexible with daily assignments, including work locations.Work proficiently both in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.Use computer and Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel daily.Document study activities using flowsheets for study teams utilizing institution services as per protocol.Participate in start-up meetings with study teams when necessary.Perform clinical research coordinator (CRC) duties as needed.QualificationsRegistered nursing license in the state of KansasTwo years of related work experienceBasic Life Support CertificationBachelor's degree in NursingRegistered nursing license in the state of MissouriACLS and PALS certificationGood Clinical Practice CertificationHuman Subject Research CertificationWork EnvironmentThis is a part-time position, requiring 20 hours per week. The role involves traveling to various sites, including Wichita, KS. The current nurse is traveling to all sites and needs support.
