Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Duties

  • Perform CT scans and ensure the highest quality images are produced for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
  • Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques during procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care plans.
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting any issues that arise during imaging sessions.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including Epic.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques, including MRI, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, X-ray, nuclear medicine, and sonography.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the imaging department.

Skills

  • Proficient in CT imaging techniques and equipment operation.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic radiology.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
  • Experience with EMR systems, particularly Epic.
  • Ability to perform various imaging modalities such as MRI, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, X-ray, nuclear medicine, and sonography is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols in a clinical setting.
