About the position

Responsibilities

  • Working hand in hand with the real estate team to deliver the new store pipeline
  • Coordinating and evaluating Site Investigation reports including the availability of services, geotechnical and contamination assessments
  • Managing and liaising with governing authorities during approval and development process
  • Managing the development of project documentation, ensuring compliance with all departmental procedures and processes
  • Managing the tender process, evaluation and appointment of contractors, nominated subcontractors and suppliers
  • Managing the construction process ensuring stakeholders are kept informed through regular site meetings and formal status reports
  • Ensuring construction projects are delivered to time & budget
  • Coordinating the project handover process to ensure the operations team are fully briefed on the operation and maintenance of all items
  • Facilitating and actioning ad hoc building requests from key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager
  • Exposure to a franchise business model in a well-known brand
  • Knowledgeable in construction staging, programming and site safety execution
  • Strong understanding of Australian Construction Building codes and Australian Standards
  • Ability to capture and influence business owners (franchise or small)
  • Strong Written and Verbal communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in construction or project management
  • Field experience in construction management
