Seeking a Mid-Cyber Security Engineer to plan, and operate the security infrastructure and responses.

The ideal candidate for this position has strong planning and operational experience with managing Email, Network, and Host Based threats, has experience with MS Intune and has a desire to continue to explore emerging, cutting-edge security technologies and services.

Work from Home [WFH]- Client is on east coast, You can work anywhere in the continental USA.

Contract to Hire role – 1099/C2C Preferred

The candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Using MS 365 Defender to analyze email headers and payloads and take/apply appropriate actions.
  • Review and response to events and alerts generated by Network IDS/IPS systems
  • Management of host-based security infrastructure
  • Management of different device platforms using MS Intune
  • Work with and follow up with the infrastructure teams to make sure outstanding vulnerabilities get resolved
  • Review and address security events generated by the business cloud apps
  • Cloud App Security Broker & Security and Compliance – Work with our team to define the overall support/management/monitoring strategy. Provide ongoing day-to-day support based on the alerting strategies.
Good written and verbal communication skills are required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have experience with cloud security best practices and tools
  • Must have at least 2 years of recent experience of Email threat Management using MS 365 Defender
  • Must have at least 2 years of recent experience of Network threat Management leveraging Network IDS/IPS systems such as FireEye NX and Cisco FIREPOWER appliances
  • Must have at least 2 years of recent experience with Host Threat infrastructure (i.e., FireEye Endpoint, Cb App Control, MS Defender, and Symantec Endpoint Protection)
  • Must have 1 year of recent experience using MS Intune and the management of different device platforms (i.e., Windows, iOS, macOS) and applications on them.
  • Must have 3 years of recent experience managing Vulnerability Management Familiar with the review, assessment and remediation of vulnerabilities on a variety of infrastructure platforms. [Big plus if experienced with Qualys vulnerability management platform.]
  • Must have experience with identify and access management products such as Azure AD, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, etc. [+]
  • Must have good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, and desire to contribute in various means to team success.
  • Confident communication skills with management, internal team members, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently within a dynamic team environment
  • Ability to quickly identify, research, and resolve issues as they arise.
Preferred Qualifications [Nice to Haves]:
  • Ideal if you have 2 years experience with Microsoft Cloud Application Security to review and address security events generated by the business cloud apps
  • Familiar with advanced Cloud Networking concepts such as ExpressRoute and Hybrid Cloud models [+]
  • Familiar with CIS framework
