Madden NFL has entertained fans over three decades with more than 130 million lifetime units sold.<br /> We're looking for an experienced Generalist Software Engineer who would be interested in developing features for EA SPORTS Madden NFL's various career-focused modes, such as Franchise and Superstar. Our engineers develop and extend features in the game to facilitate user experiences that extend beyond twitch gameplay and contribute to a connected and socially interactive game experience. Above all, we're looking for an engineer who is excited to use their talent and experience to build AAA quality games. You will report to the engineering manager for the team.<br /> This position will be hybrid/onsite in Orlando, FL and is a 12 month temporary position.<br /> <br /> Your Responsibilities<br /> • Develop and extend offline and online features.<br /> • Write technical documents for user facing features.<br /> • Plan & implement a feature's core logic and flows.<br /> • Design, maintain, implement, test and debug code.<br /> • Work with designers to gather requirements and propose technical solutions.<br /> • Work with a team of other engineers in a collaborative environment while being overseen by a tech lead.<br /> Your Qualifications<br /> • 5+ years of experience in C++ software development.<br /> • Able to review, test, debug, and extend existing code.<br /> • Experience with software engineering principles and architectural design.<br /> • Knowledge of data driven systems.<br /> • Skills debugging complex applications.<br /> • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.<br /> Bonuses<br /> • Knowledge developing web interfaces using JavaScript frameworks or technologies such as Flash, Action Script 3.0.<br /> • Working knowledge of Photoshop.<br /> • A passion for American Football.<br /> About Electronic Arts<br /> We're proud to have an extensive portfolio of games and experiences, locations around the world, and opportunities across EA.
