Cowlitz Timber Trails Association is a membership campground near Salkum, WA. We are hiring for a part time seasonal housekeeper to maintain the lodge, common areas, office, and satellite bathrooms in a sanitary, economical, and efficient manner. The right candidate for this position will be self-motivated and work well with others in a team environment.

Accountability

Housekeeper is accountable for completion of all assigned tasks in a timely, high quality, and efficient manner. Individual is accountable to maintain confidentiality of all conversations, materials, etc., in respect to the facility, staff, and guests.

Knowledge of:

Housekeeping and janitorial activities, hospitality and and food service industry, including MSDS-related requirements. Must have knowledge of scheduling, organizing, and prioritizing a daily work schedule.

Abilities:
Keep all facilities maintained and clean in a high quality and efficient manner. This includes "deep cleaning," vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning tile floors, and window washing.

Must have the ability to get along with others -- including fellow employees, customers, guests, and the public to competently work in a team-based environment and meet assigned deadlines and work hours as designated by management.

Prior housekeeping experience in a commercial setting is preferred. Housekeeper must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach frequently. This is a seasonal part time position that will start in May and continue through Labor Day weekend. Weekend (Saturday) and summer holiday coverage is a must. Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform housekeeping duties in the camp program and clean-up after park events;
  • Restock restrooms routinely with toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap;
  • Empty trash containers throughout the park regularly;
  • Laundry maintenance to include clean-up of laundry facility and maintaining cleanliness of shower facility curtains and liners;
  • Perform all cleaning and sanitizing of the camp general facilities, satellite bathrooms, and office;
  • Deep cleaning duties of facilities on a regular basis;
  • Lodge and kitchen cleaning to include mopping of floors, windows, and dusting;
  • Assist with activity set-up and other maintenance tasks, as requested;
  • Assist with inventory and ordering of maintenance and cleaning supplies;
  • Other duties as assigned by Park Management.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-lbs
  • Time sitting, climbing, 1%-66%
  • Time standing, walking 67%-100%

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
