Position Overview: As a Group Product Manager, you’ll be part of our STANLEY team working as a hybrid employee. The Product Management is responsible for the product roadmap, feature definition, and overseeing a product throughout its lifecycle. They partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that all products meet customer and business needs and align back to the overall brand and category strategy. Product Management collaborates with category managers, designers, engineers, brand marketing and sales teams to define and develop products that service the needs of our end user, align to relevant CTQ’s and create a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Additionally, they conduct market research and communicate with external stakeholders to get feedback and relay important information. Product Management also manages resource planning and works with operations and engineering to drive Design to Value (DTV), productivity and cost reduction. In this role, you will be responsible for developing product and market strategies to drive growth and improved profitability across the hand tool portfolios that they are responsible for. Develops product strategies to meet or exceed the company’s overall strategy and goals. Identifies the necessary projects to execute the strategy for product lines within their responsibility. Responsible for partnering with international teams to identify high impact opportunities to drive growth globally. Understand market trends to ensure product strategy aligns with the needs of the customer; Develop and deliver operating plan for assigned portfolio, track, forecast, and present new product financial performance monthly. Lead development of product roadmaps based on product strategies, NPD (New Product Development) program financials, and channel strategies. Work with Engineering and Supply Chain (Operations) to ensure the roadmap can be executed based on resources and capacity. Conduct regular VOC (Voice of Customer) visits to have a deep understanding of target market segments, end user needs, and pain points for the product portfolio. Responsible for NPD programs from ideation to commercialization. Act as team leader to ensure delivery of winning new products through end-user focused market requirements, aligned business case with channel/region teams, design trade-off management, succinct end user messaging, and price positioning for optimal profitability. Validation of Product CTQs, Testing, & Claims with End Users Responsible for effectively communicating to external audience’s product differentiation, product positioning, and value proposition to win or retain business. Identify and execute plans to deliver productivity in the category to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace without sacrificing customer valued product features. Ensure Phase Gate process is followed to successfully develop new products and deliver on time to commitment dates. Develops product positioning strategy by product line, including target financial profitability objectives. Partner with global cross-functional team members to ensure success of new products and portfolio performance Manages, develops, and mentors a team of Product Managers to achieve business goals.
