Work Arrangement:
This role is based remotely but if you live within a 80 KM radius of Markham Elevation Centre, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role:
The Head of Leadership & Professional Development will report to the Global Head of Talent and lead a team of HR professionals to establish and implement a leadership development strategy that addresses the performance needs of front-line people managers up through our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
The ideal candidate will be both a visionary and practitioner- someone who can define what leadership capabilities GM needs today and in the future as well as help ensure we have a sufficient supply of leaders with those capabilities at all levels in the organization. Specifically, they need to be able to define a leadership framework that clearly depicts what we expect of our leaders, enable an assessment strategy of existing capabilities, and develop a set of behavior-changing development programs that continue to enhance GM's collective leadership capabilities.
They will also architect a similar framework for ensuring that all GM employees have the necessary professional skills (communication, decision making, etc.) to effectively carry out the responsibilities associated with their current role and enable career development.

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable provincial laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, or Nova Scotia. • The salary range for this role is $142,800 - $214,200.
The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Modalités de travail : Ce rôle est basé à distance, mais si vous habitez dans un rayon de 80 km du Markham Elevation Centre, vous devez vous présenter à cet endroit au moins trois fois par semaine.
Le rôle : Le responsable du leadership et du développement professionnel relèvera du responsable mondial des talents et dirigera une équipe de professionnels des ressources humaines pour établir et mettre en œuvre une stratégie de développement du leadership qui répond aux besoins de performance des gestionnaires de personnel de première ligne jusqu'à notre équipe de haute direction (SLT).
Le candidat idéal sera à la fois un visionnaire et un praticien, quelqu'un capable de définir les capacités de leadership dont GM a besoin aujourd'hui et à l'avenir, ainsi que de contribuer à garantir que nous disposons d'un nombre suffisant de dirigeants dotés de ces capacités à tous les niveaux de l'organisation. Plus précisément, ils doivent être capables de définir un cadre de leadership qui décrit clairement ce que nous attendons de nos dirigeants, de permettre une stratégie d'évaluation des capacités existantes et de développer un ensemble de programmes de développement visant à modifier les comportements et qui continuent d'améliorer les capacités de leadership collectif de GM.
Ils élaboreront également un cadre similaire pour garantir que tous les employés de GM possèdent les compétences professionnelles nécessaires (communication, prise de décision, etc.) pour assumer efficacement les responsabilités associées à leur rôle actuel et permettre le développement de carrière.
