What You'll Do: Be the Heart of Southwest's Customer Service As a Remote Customer Support & Services Representative for Southwest Airlines, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued Customers, living our "LUV" culture with every interaction. Your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering Legendary Customer Service: Communicate with Southwest Customers primarily via telephone (and potentially chat/email), providing friendly, accurate, and efficient assistance regarding fares, flight schedules, routes, seat availability, and general travel inquiries.
Booking & Modifying Reservations: Skillfully assist Customers with new flight bookings, changes to existing reservations, cancellations, and manage special requests.
Problem Resolution: Actively listen to Customer needs and concerns, empathize with their situations, and efficiently resolve issues to ensure a positive and satisfying outcome.
Information Management: Accurately input and update Customer and flight-related information within Southwest's proprietary systems, maintaining high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
Policy & Procedure Guidance: Clearly and concisely explain airline policies, procedures, services, and Rapid Rewards program details, making complex information easy for Customers to understand.
Adherence to Standards: Consistently meet performance metrics, quality standards, and regulatory compliance guidelines for all customer interactions.

Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
Location: Must reside in one of the states where Southwest Airlines is authorized for remote employment (specific states may apply and will be discussed during the hiring process). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Your Essential Work-From-Home Setup & Training Details As this is a 100% remote opportunity (after initial training), you must have and maintain:
Dedicated & Quiet Workspace: A private, professional, and distraction-free home environment suitable for conducting calls and handling confidential Customer information. Maintaining a distraction-free area is essential as Representatives receive an average of 100 calls per shift.
Reliable High-Speed Internet: A stable, consistent, and fast broadband internet connection with a download speed of at least 50 Mbps and an upload speed of at least 5 Mbps. A wired (Ethernet) connection is required for optimal performance. A $75 monthly stipend is provided for internet service.
Reliable Computer System: A modern desktop or laptop computer that meets specified technical requirements (provided upon offer).
High-Quality Headset: A professional-grade, noise-canceling headset with a microphone for crystal-clear audio on all Customer interactions.
Mandatory Paid Training: Ability to attend and successfully complete an 8-week paid training program. The initial two (2) weeks occur on-site and in-person at our Corporate Campus in Dallas, Texas, followed by six (6) weeks of virtual training at home in a remote work environment. Perfect attendance is required for the entire training period, and you must meet a minimum cumulative average of 80% on all assessments.
Work Schedule: Must be able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support our 24/7 operation. Schedules are assigned via a bidding process and are awarded by seniority; new hires must put in time and hard work before they can build their own schedule. Voluntary and mandatory overtime may be required based on operational needs.
