What does a housekeeper do?

Our Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining the facility in a clean, sanitary, orderly and attractive condition.

  • Wash, dust, polish, vacuum and sweep all areas of the facility.
  • Clean sinks, tubs, showers and toilets according to prescribed sanitary standards.
  • Polish fittings and fixtures.
  • Clean mirrors and windows.
  • Empty and clean trash cans.
  • Listen and respond to resident's queries and requests.
  • Ensure adequate stock of cleaning supplies.
  • Keep cleaning equipment in good working order.
  • Maintain clean storage area for equipment and supplies.
  • Observe and report any maintenance issues.
  • Occasionally may fill in to assist with sorting and washing/drying laundry using machines, fold and distribute clean laundry.

Work Schedule:

  • This position is 4 days per week,
  • 7:30 am - 2 pm
  • Working every 4th weekend and every 4th-holiday rotation.

Wages:

  • Starting wage is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements of a Housekeeper:

  • This position requires an ability to work effectively as a team and independently.
  • Must be detail-oriented, have strong time management and multitasking skills, and be well organized.
  • Individuals must also pass a state-required background study.
  • Individual must be 18 years or older.
