<p>Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources and Risk Management or designee, assist, plan and conduct in a wide variety of analytical and administrative functions related to human resources in the area of recruitment, classification, compensation, benefits, employee and organizational development, risk management and loss prevention. </p><p>Human Resources Analyst II is the experienced-level classification in the series. Incumbents perform journey-level duties in the human resource and risk management department. Human Resources Analyst III is the advanced-level classification in the series. Incumbents in this class perform more complex assignments and serve in a lead capacity to other staff which require substantial knowledge of human resources and risk management procedures. Human Resources Analyst I is the entry-level classification.</p><p>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public, business or human resources administration, finance, accounting, business management, international business, information systems, communication, communication design, marketing, economics, economic development, political science, English, psychology, social science, sociology, behavioral science, or criminal justice and two (2) years of experience performing professional level human resources work in the private or public sector. </p><p>OR Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in public, business or human resources administration, finance, accounting, business management, international business, information systems, communication, communication design, marketing, economics, economic development, political science, English, psychology, social science, sociology, behavioral science, or criminal justice and four (4) years of experience performing professional level human resources work in the private or public sector. </p><p>Valid California Driver’s license.</p><p>A valid driver’s license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC § 160020.
