<strong><strong>POSITION: Instructional Assistant - Math Interventionist<br><br></strong></strong><strong><strong>PAY SCALE</strong></strong>: Grade 4, Classified Hourly: https://www.mpark.net/departments/human_resources<br><br><strong><strong>POSITION LENGTH</strong></strong>: 7.5 hours per day, 186 days per school year<br><br><strong><strong>HOURS</strong></strong>: Full-time unless otherwise specified<br><br><strong><strong>FLSA STATUS</strong></strong>: Non-Exempt<br><br><strong><strong>APPLICATION DEADLINE</strong></strong>: Open until filled<br><br><strong><strong>IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR</strong></strong>: Building Principal<br><br><strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>Support math instruction by providing small group intervention using designated programs and materials for students in kindergarten through second grade.<br><br><strong>Requisite Education And Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Prior experience working with children in group settings preferred</li><li>Ability to support students across a range of ability levels</li><li>Capable of following written and verbal instructions related to academic and behavioral support</li><li>Skilled in assisting with instructional activities and classroom management</li><li>Strong interpersonal communication skills and professionalism when working with students, staff, and families</li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred<br><br></li></ul><strong><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: </strong></strong><em><em>(including but not limited to the following)<br><br></em></em><ul><li>Comply with all local, state, and federal school regulations, as well as School Board and Superintendent policies</li><li>Perform tasks as directed by the School Board, Superintendent, or designee for the effective operation of the school</li><li>Support and implement instructional plans in collaboration with school staff</li><li>Under the direction of the Intervention Coordinator and school administration, provide targeted academic instruction and interventions to individual students and small groups</li><li>Administer assessments to monitor student progress toward academic goals</li><li>Collaborate and communicate with classroom teachers and school staff regarding student achievement, both in writing and verbally</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely student data records</li><li>Prepare and organize instructional materials and learning aids</li><li>Support classroom behavior expectations and management plans</li><li>Provide individual or small group support to students on assignments and classroom activities</li><li>Attend required in-service trainings, workshops, and staff meetings</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements<br><br></strong>Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with staff and the public via phone and in person. Physical capabilities include seeing, hearing, speaking, handling objects, and operating standard office equipment (e.g., computers, calculators, copiers, fax machines).
