Koning & Associates is a Western Regional Independent Insurance Adjusting Company. Founded over 39 years ago, we provide investigations annually to over 200 insurance company clients from around the country on claims within California, Nevada and Arizona via our 15 offices.

This is a Resident Adjuster position. **Only local current California residents need apply.**

⮚ The current position requires a dependable vehicle. Travel will encompass South Bay, East Bay and San Francisco counties.

Our experienced adjusters and investigators are fact finders who assist in the investigation, inspection, evaluation and adjustment of Commercial and Personal line Liability and Property claims.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • We are seeking applicants with a minimum 7 years of Property Field claim experience, as well as experience in handling 3rd Party Property.
  • The preferred applicant should have a Property Claims background and a thorough knowledge of Property estimating software. **Note that adjusters with only Homeowners experience CAN BE trained to handle Commercial claims.
  • Must be self-motivated and organized with excellent oral and written communication.
  • The desired candidate should possess strong work and personal ethics.
  • Must be analytical and have computer skills.
  • The ability to provide accurate and timely reports to our customers is critical.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and insureds to provide support throughout the claims process.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in negotiation techniques to reach favorable settlements for all parties involved.
  • Ability to analyze complex information quickly and make sound decisions based on findings.
  • Prior experience as an Independent Adjuster is helpful, but not required.
  • California Adjusters License not required.

DUTIES:

  • Review and analyze insurance claims to determine validity and coverage under applicable policies.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of claims, which may include interviewing insureds, claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties.
  • Negotiate settlements while ensuring fair and equitable outcomes.
  • Identify potential fraud through diligent examination of claims and implement appropriate measures for fraud prevention detection.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and decisions related to each claim.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in claims management.
