Overview

We are seeking the next leader to join the Integrated Marketing Campaign Team at Microsoft Store! This team is responsible for bringing together our customer engagement channels and helping to drive our integrated marketing approach. This includes campaign strategy, product go-to-market (GTM), social media, influencer marketing, PR, CRM, Demand Gen, and SEO.

You will manage the marketing strategy for our first party product launch campaigns at Microsoft Store (including Xbox, Surface, Windows, Office/M365). In this role, you will be part of a fast-paced dynamic team which partners across multiple stakeholders within Microsoft to bring products to market to consumers and small businesses. In this role, you will coordinate each campaign end-to-end: strategy, testing plan, creative development, execution, and performance analysis while partnering closely with product marketing, web, creative, and integrated marketing teams to bring product vision to life within digital and other key channels.

This position will report to the Integrated Marketing Campaign Team Lead. As a part of our broader Microsoft Store Marketing team, you would be accountable for helping us to lead best-in-class campaign experiences across the organization and integrated marketing channels.

How you can make an impact

  • Lead global campaign strategies and develop integrated marketing plans that drive sales, revenue, and other key business metrics for product launches.
  • Establish relationships across Microsoft (creative teams, channel marketing, brand, 3rd party retail, web, etc.) to integrate and partner wherever possible to make an impact.

  • Create customer-first, connective tissue, throughout launches that makes Microsoft Store the best place to experience and purchase Microsoft products.
  • Drive cross-team alignment with multiple channel partners and Microsoft teams to develop campaign go-to-market strategy that will come to life across all channels
  • Manage a contract employee who will serve as your direct report; responsible for assisting and scaling support across product launch campaigns
  • Maintain scrupulous security protocols, including the supervision of contingent staff asset manager for distribution of highly confidential marketing assets.
  • Develop and socialize strategic briefs that are informed by Microsoft business and marketing objectives, competitive landscape, and customer insights and segmentation.
  • Maintain strong partnership with product marketing teams, and Store programs teams to ensure alignment to messaging & creative pillars.
  • Work effectively through an influence model at all levels of the organization, including obtaining senior management and cross-team alignment and buy-in on plans to execute.
  • Develop communications to inform wider Microsoft and senior leadership teams of campaign approach, creative, and marketing plans
  • Facilitate campaign updates and discussions in large groups, informing teams of critical upcoming milestones and campaign tracking
  • Work closely with measurement teams to gather, analyze, and summarize campaign reports that will impact future workstreams

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, campaign GTM strategy, or integrated marketing
  • Excellent project management ability
  • Strong formal and colloquial communications skills
  • Agency and vendor management. Ability to bring the best out of our suppliers and direct reports.
  • Great attention to detail, highly organized, and brings an understanding of how to motivate and inspire teams to deliver business critical results
  • Experience partnering with designers and creative partners to develop visual assets for various campaigns
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across organizational and team boundaries.
  • Ability to manage complex projects in a fast-changing environment.
  • Proven record for data-driven decision making, innovative approaches and smart risk taking.
  • Skills in project management and a passionate attention to detail paired with consistency to drive multiple workstreams across hundreds of stakeholders
  • A proven history of leveraging and improving process strategically to improve team efficiency and impact.

Highly Preferred Experience And Skills

  • Digital marketing in retail or ecommerce
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver strategy in digital marketing landscape
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, business, or marketing
  • Ability to rapidly gain/build trust and confidence of stakeholders
  • Big picture problem solving - thrives in ambiguity and has keen ability to identify gaps/overlaps across teams/orgs and projects
