Comtech Systems of Louisiana, one of Acadiana's oldest I.T. solution providers, has an immediate opening for a full time technician. The ideal candidate will have a
minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with PC and network support. A minimum of 2 years in a direct support environment is preferred.

Relevant skills include PC hardware and software troubleshooting, IP network troubleshooting, and WAN connectivity troubleshooting along with configuring various IP based hardware such as WAPs, firewalls, and switches. The candidate will be joining a growing team and must be able to support and troubleshoot a network and work closely with the service desk Level I and II teams and assist them. The candidate will eventually cross-train with the service desk team to be able to fill the role of a helpdesk operator should the need arise.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast pace environment with little direction.

Requirements

  • Experience installing, supporting, and troubleshooting Windows workstations and servers.
  • Desktop support and help desk experience in a windows environment.
  • Understanding and experience of WAN connectivity and IP Networking, routers and switches.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
  • Ability to detect and resolve technical or technology-related problems
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

**Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
**Ability to troubleshoot basic/intermediate hardware problems.
**Highly motivated and efficient.
**Well organized.
**Genuine aptitude and interest in computers and networking technology.
**Advanced experience with computer software applications (MS Office, etc.).
