Big Horn Rural Electric Company is a distribution cooperative seeking an individual for the Journeyman Lineman position in our Basin, Wyoming location. The successful candidate is responsible for constructing, installing, maintaining, and repairing primary and secondary high voltage electrical facilities on energized and de-energized lines both overhead and underground, in a safe and efficient manner. This position responds, investigates, and/or repairs service interruptions to ensure or to provide prompt restoration of services, and assists in evaluating the cause of the interruption to prevent future interruptions and provide continued reliability. The Journeyman Lineman participates in and maintains availability for on-call rotations for outages and associated service interruptions after normal working hours, and on holidays and weekends.

The successful candidate will possess a background of apprenticeship training and experience to qualify them as a journeyman lineman from an approved electric distribution-training program and have four (4) years minimum experience or 8,000 hours of on-the-job training, have proof that they are a recognized Journeyman Lineman at another utility, or have a recognized Journeyman Lineman Certificate. Pre-employment drug testing is required, and applicant must possess a valid Class A Wyoming (CDL) driver's license. Wage starts at $48.42/hour and a premium benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, LTD, 401k, RS Plan, along with a vacation/sick leave program.
