The Opportunity

As the Line Cook, you will be responsible for the preparation of all foods during an assigned shift, in accordance with Grand Casino’s specifications and standards.

What You Get to Do

  • Responsible for preparing, seasoning, finishing, and garnishing all food in kitchen preparation in accordance with established recipes.
  • Follow all recipes and production specifications.
  • Knowledge and execution of menus.
  • Assist in all areas of food production as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with state health regulations.
  • Participate as a team member with Supervisors, Chefs, Cooks, FOH and all other pertinent Associates in ensuring an efficiently run operation.
  • Knows and follows all safety and security regulations in accordance with Grand Casino’s policy and procedures.
  • Must be able to execute and prioritize multiple orders with efficiency, quality and adhere to food safety practices.
  • Must have knowledge and be able to execute in other outlets of Food and Beverage.
  • Perform other assigned duties related to this role, contributing to the overall success of the department.

What Qualifies You

  • Two (2) years of restaurant kitchen production experience, with a minimum of one (1) year of cooking experience preferred. Compensation is based on experience.
  • Serv-Safe Certification preferred.
  • Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
  • Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
