As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Providing technical product and process leadership for coated abrasive products
  • Performing as the key contact in the plant for product-related activities involving qualification and launch of new products
  • Supporting issue resolution and communication efforts with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Leading product EHS, quality and cost improvement efforts
  • Growing our business by providing manufacturing cost estimates for new and existing products
  • Providing support for round-the-clock manufacturing operations as needed


Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver's license is required


Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with previous project management experience using cross-functional resources
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Travel: May include up to 10%
