What We Need:

iHeartMedia has an opening for a seasoned anchor/reporter on multiple stations (including KTRH) in Houston and other markets. The ideal candidate will also perform in-house reporting duties, produce content for national wire service and perform general newsroom assignments. Candidates should have high standards for audio quality, strong on-air presentation skills and the ability to write radio broadcast style copy.



What You'll Do:
  • Anchor newscasts for multiple markets.
  • Write clear, concise news copy.
  • Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire.
  • Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.
  • Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift.
  • May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed.


What You'll Need:
  • Extensive on-air background
  • Proficient in media production and broadcast systems
  • Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years’ experience in on-air journalism in smaller market or college station
  • 4-year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or Communications
