NIGHT MANAGER

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (duties depend upon which shift is being worked)

  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Achieves desired gross profit.
  • Achieves desired level of productivity.
  • Projects sales, product movement, labor needs.
  • Manage and motivate staff, recruit staff, train and develop staff, according to company policies and employment laws, and ensure relevant HR procedures are followed (appraisals, discipline, etc.)
  • Manage cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies, at all times with staff and customer safety as the uppermost priority.
  • Manage, maintain and report as necessary all merchandise and non-merchandise stock.
  • Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures, etc. on premises.
  • Manage health and safety, security, and emergency systems, capabilities and staff and customer awareness, according to company policy and relevant law.
  • Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicate this to Store Manager.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making as required.
  • Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for store employees.
  • Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
  • Conducts store closing procedures

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing machines, sanitizing equipment, etc.).
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Follow established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports and verify receipts
  • May order merchandise and supplies according to established guidelines.
  • Standing for extended periods of time to perform job functions.
  • Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB STANDARDS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Follows dress code.
  • Follows established safety policies and procedures.
  • Follows written and oral instructions.
  • Works well with others.
  • Speaks English fluently.
  • Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
  • Hearing corrected to normal range.
  • Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet.
  • Has knowledge of total store operations.
  • Available to work nights and weekends.
