The Operation & Maintenance Site Supervisor is responsible for executing all aspects of operation and maintenance of a Netafim irrigation system at an assigned site. This includes implementing irrigation schedules, managing system performance, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of the system. The role is hands-on and field-based, supporting the delivery of high-quality irrigation services in alignment with Netafim's standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of operation and maintenance of a large-scale agricultural drip irrigation system, including daily scheduling and operation of the system, routine maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

• Collaborate with Netafim and customer agronomy teams to determine and execute the daily, weekly, and seasonal irrigation schedule.

• Oversee the injection of all nutrients, crop protection, and system maintenance compounds through the irrigation system, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance.

• Operate system automation components including controllers, telemetry units, control valves, and field-based sensors, and troubleshoot issues as needed.

• Maintain an appropriate and secure inventory of spare parts to enable rapid execution of repairs and minimize system downtime.

• Monitor levels of all injected compounds and coordinate with farm management to ensure timely delivery and replenishment of materials.

• Identify system repair requirements, deploy staff or vendors to execute necessary repairs, and verify completion and performance restoration.

• Actively monitor system performance for signs of leaks, clogging, or other anomalies; diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions.

• Maintain detailed system performance logs and report weekly metrics to Netafim and customer farm-management teams.

• Report any system failures or anticipated challenges that may interfere with continuous operation to the project team and escalate as needed.

• Respond promptly and professionally to requests from farm operations teams, within the constraints of the irrigation system and agreed-upon service levels.

• Elevate issues that are complex, unresolved, or exceed budget thresholds to the Services Operations Manager.

• Ensure the highest quality workmanship from all irrigation staff and vendors, with strict adherence to Netafim safety standards and protocols.

• Attend internal and external training sessions on irrigation techniques and Netafim products to enhance system performance and client outcomes.

• Maintain site cleanliness, organization, and readiness, including tools, equipment, and spare parts.

• Uphold best safety practices at all times while on project sites and during daily operations.

• Perform other duties as requested or assigned to support the success of the irrigation system and service delivery.

Requirements

Proficiencies-Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, plant science, soil science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

• Experience operating and maintaining large-scale agricultural drip irrigation systems.

• Familiarity with irrigation automation systems and troubleshooting techniques.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a field-based environment.

• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Some travel may be required.

Salary Description

$65,000 - $75,000 DOE
