The Senior Buyer is a subject matter expert in materials planning and is responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing components from suppliers to assure timely delivery to support manufacturing build requests and production needs. These products and services are to be secured at cost, quality, and delivery levels consistent with company policy and performance standards.

Perform material requirements planning through coordination with manufacturing and external suppliers to support the Value Stream.

Participate in sourcing projects to ensure best practices and greatest leverage in procurement, low-cost region sourcing, supplier assessment and management.

and recommends suppliers in respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.

Communicate common supplier problems with Leadership Team and Purchasing.

Manage supplier quality through Non-Conforming Process; minimize production impact by ensuring discrepant materials are addressed with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Leadership and Suppliers.

Monitor supplier orders to ensure they are shipped on a timely basis to support Value Stream.

Audits and participates in inventory accuracy improvement planning related to items in categories of responsibility

Initiates purchase orders and amendments for material, services, and/or special tools; arranges for submission and inspection of sample products as required; close coordination with plant engineering, production, and customer service to assure timely execution of product and services sourcing activities.

Identify, resolve, and expedite issues to ensure timely identification and procurement of materials.

Customer service mindset with a focus on delivering options and solutions for internal cross-functional departments

Participates in continuous improvement projects and key business initiatives in respect to given commodities and suppliers

Ability to read and analyze contracts, ability to set up sourcing plans, negotiation strategies and implementation of new supplier onboarding.
Resourceful and able to provide solutions, driving sourcing strategy and supply chain execution for multiple categories.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
5+ years in supply chain, sourcing, procurement.
~ Bachelor's degree in business, technical, or financial field (supply chain, operations, engineering, finance)
~ PC proficient, working knowledge of MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills.
