Job Summary:

The Product Manager for Industrial Firewalls at Belden is responsible for leading the strategy and lifecycle management for firewalls deployed in industrial automation applications. With your products, you will contribute to the strategic development and success of a novel and dynamic business segment and will have the opportunity to participate in strategic planning, engage with key partners and customers, and collaborate with sales, marketing, solutions, services, support, R&D, operations, and finance teams to achieve the specific goals of your product line and the broader objectives of the organization.

This position may be remote with preferred goegraphy within the Central US region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the product strategy and multi-year roadmap for Belden industrial firewalls
  • Manage all product lifecycle activities for Belden industrial firewalls from ideation to obsolescence
  • Conduct market research, voice-of-customer collection, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities to strengthen the product portfolio
  • Engage with sales, channel partners, and customers to uncover requirements, validate concepts, and build/justify business cases for development efforts
  • Define product requirements, build development plans, and manage the project backlog with engineering and R&D
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and solutions teams to create go-to-market plans including the creation of messaging, sales enablement tools, product collateral, and pre-sales training and promotional activities
  • Contribute to demand planning activities conducted by the operations team
  • Monitor KPIs tracking the financial and operational performance of the Belden industrial firewalls product portfolio

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial automation, or a related field
  • At least five (5) years of experience in highly influential roles in product management, ideally working with industrial networking and/or cybersecurity products
  • Deep knowledge of firewall technologies, industrial network protocols, industrial cybersecurity standards, industrial hardware certifications, and IT/OT convergence challenges
  • Experience with product lifecycle management, business case development, market research, collecting user insights, and channel sales models
  • Ability to develop and implement a strategy with input from and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Comfort with public speaking and engaging directly with customers and partners
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with agile product development and PLM and roadmap tools (e.g., Aha!, Jira, etc.)
  • Proficiency in the use of business applications in the Microsoft 365 suite

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $105,000 to $150,000.00, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
