<p> The Role<br /> Our messaging and notifications are a main way we speak to consumers, to inform and build excitement for our ever expanding portfolio of offerings (Live, Games, among many others!). Messaging channel innovation, including channel reach, new channel expansion, channel delivery health, and innovative formats are critical to our success. Our vision is - wherever members are in the world and whatever channels they like to receive information from, we will be there for them, providing them with personalized, timely, and delightful messages that create the aha moment of ''Netflix truly gets me'', and add value to their Netflix experience.<br /> We are looking for a Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy and roadmap for messaging channels innovation and delivery:<br /> • You will understand deeply Netflix's broader business context and priorities, and identify new opportunities for messaging channel innovation<br /> • You will drive the vision, strategy, and priorities for your cross-functional team, balancing near- and long-term ROI across your responsibility areas<br /> • You will work with your team to build durable and robust metrics and monitoring systems to continuously measure channel health and performance<br /> • You will continuously scan industry landscapes and trends and bring new ideas to your team<br /> • You will identify opportunities for improving message delivery across our channels, including but not limited to channel health, IP reputation and deliverability<br /> • As a high-leverage thought leader, you will have the ability to shape our thinking on how to evolve messaging and member experience overall, and have a massive impact on how members enjoy our service.<br /> This role is based in our Los Gatos (preferred) or Los Angeles office in a hybrid model, but we are open to remote candidates who are on the West Coast. Many of our top execs started out as individual contributors.<br /> Who will be successful in this role?<br /> • You combine a highly analytical background with a strong product sense, clarity / depth of thinking and excellent communication skills to define, explain and execute your vision.<br /> • You have demonstrated the ability to drive step function impact on established products and spearhead industry-leading innovations<br /> • You naturally gravitate towards experimentation as a way to validate your hypotheses while having a healthy skepticism when interpreting experimental results<br /> • You build strong partnerships with world-class cross functional teams such as engineers, designers, data scientists, other PMs and business teams,, and the business sense to drive product<br /> • You have a bias towards action, and can independently and effectively rally cross-functional teams and drive projects forward with speed<br /> • You have demonstrated the ability to communicate complex ideas at different altitudes to different audiences, and can vary your communication approach depending on your audience to drive to the best outcomes<br /> • You are able to raise the bar on product craft across the broader Netflix product community<br /> • Having experiences with notification and messaging are a big plus<br /> <br /> Skills<br /> • 10+ yrs experience managing consumer products with a growth-oriented focus and a proven record of prioritizing and successfully launching impactful products<br /> • Demonstrated full ownership mindset for driving step function impact in your space<br /> • Expertise in developing long-range visions, strategy and roadmap for a cross-functional space, incorporating the broader business context<br /> • Demonstrated leadership experience working effectively with engineering, design, data science, consumer insights, and business stakeholders.<br /> • Expertise in experimentation and able to conduct analysis to understand the deeper story<br /> • Track record of driving industry-leading innovation working with external ecosystem partners<br /> • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present content to a wide variety and senior audiences<br /> Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $240,000 - $725,000.<br /> Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
