Production Worker - $20/hr. + shift differential

Monday – Friday: 2nd shift 4:00pm – 12:00am; 3rd shift 12:00am – 8:00am

Are you a reliable, self-motivated person looking for an exciting new job opportunity? If so, this position is for you!! A local production facility in Sibley, IA is looking for a Production Worker to join their team. As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment that converts cheese into powder form for use in animal feed. The role includes monitoring quality, ensuring food safety standards are met, and working collaboratively with the production team to maintain an efficient and clean work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor cheese drying, milling, and packaging machinery
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to established formulas and quality standards
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance
  • Collect and record production data, including yields, moisture content, and batch tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with feed-grade safety regulations (FDA, AAFCO, GMP)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in food processing, agriculture, or manufacturing a plus
  • 1–2 years of experience in food production, feed manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and feed safety standards is highly desirable
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature variations, noise, and dust
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures
  • Ability to complete real-time documentation throughout the production process.
