About the Project

We’re producing a festive, large-print Christmas Word Search Book as part of the Retro Fun series — nostalgic puzzle books designed for seniors and older adults. This edition will feature 80 themed puzzles inspired by holiday traditions, music, food, decorations, and family memories from the 1950s to 1990s.

Our goal: create a heartwarming, easy-to-read, memory-evoking activity book that’s fun to complete solo or with family.

You’ll collaborate with our puzzle creator, and support in the following areas:

1. Topic Review & Content Fit

•Review proposed puzzle topics for nostalgic relevance, variety, and senior appeal

• Flag any weak or repetitive themes

• Suggest stronger alternatives when needed

2. Proofreading & Light Editing

Once puzzle batches are ready:

• Fix typos, grammar, and punctuation

• Standardize layout elements (headers, spacing, formatting)

• Simplify language and ensure instructions are clear and friendly

• Maintain tone consistency (festive, warm, senior-appropriate)

3. Collaborative Feedback

• Provide comments or suggestions for improvements to puzzle content or word lists

• Communicate with the puzzle creator (or project lead) to ensure clarity and quality

• Flag duplicate or confusing entries and suggest rewording if needed

Ideal Candidate

• Strong proofreading/editing background

• Familiarity with activity books, puzzle books, or senior-friendly content

• Able to work in batches with short turnaround times (2–3 days per batch)

• Friendly, flexible communicator who can collaborate asynchronously

• Bonus: Interest in nostalgic or holiday-themed projects

Workflow & Format

• Files will be shared in Word or Google Docs

• Batches delivered across ~2 weeks

• First batch (40 puzzles) ready immediately

• Additional batches to follow (staggered)

• Feedback and responsiveness are key — we’re aiming for a polished final book by Mid-July

If you love Christmas, enjoy working on joyful and nostalgic projects, and care about creating high-quality, senior-friendly content, we’d love to hear from you! Start your proposal with word "Nostalgia" please.
