About the Role:

The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) organization is on a mission to drive commerce and create demand through innovative products, partnerships, and marketing experiences. As a Senior Developer, you’ll be part of OnBrand, American Express’ in-house creative agency, focused on crafting industry-defining creative excellence across digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute development for multiple parallel project engagements.
  • Write high-quality code for digital platforms using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Produce, maintain, and modify digital experiences and user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI, copy, and design teams to create seamless customer experiences.
  • Ensure projects incorporate accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and ease-of-use best practices.
  • Develop and guide overall development approaches, providing coaching and oversight to developers.
  • Ensure all digital experiences meet industry standards and best practices.
  • Partner with QA teams to troubleshoot defects and optimize development processes based on learnings.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in front-end development with strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Expertise in creating responsive and accessible user interfaces.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI, design, and QA.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with modern development tools and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
