The Opportunity

We are in search of a Finance and Operations Coordinator to work virtually in a part time role for approximately ten hours per week to help with important tasks that will enable us to operate more efficiently and with greater levels of accuracy. There is an opportunity to expand your hours as we continue to grow over time.

In this role, you will work directly with the operations team to provide tactical support functions. The duties include performing a multitude of activities with a range of skills including administration, operations, bookkeeping, and the ability to switch gears to take on special projects as they arise. This is your opportunity to put a diverse array of quantitative skills to work for a good cause!

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, process oriented, digitally savvy, a technology native and have a strong attention to detail. An internal customer service focus and mentality will be important to meet the needs of a growing and dynamic team by helping foster a mindset of continuous process improvement. You will be a force multiplier!

How You’ll Help Make an Impact

  • Drive financial visibility by providing timely bookkeeping services, performing technical accounting tasks including bank reconciliations and account analyses that establish a foundation for accuracy
  • Meticulously maintain monthly cash forecast models while ensuring all financial KPIs (monthly, quarterly, and annual) accurately reflect the key drivers of business performance
  • Learn the roles of our Operations Specialist and Scheduling Coordinator to provide backup support if needed
  • Help the Founder create, maintain, and automate project boards in Monday.com
  • Use Google Sheets to build models and analyze data for both operational and financial business needs
  • Perform a variety of HR related processes to ensure our team is healthy and happy
  • Support the team with state licensing and keeping regulatory requirements up to date
  • Observe team workflows to find and implement automation opportunities that free up their time for more important work
  • Take on various special projects as they come up in day-to-day business operations

Requirements

Your Technology Toolkit Contains

Our Operations Team is a group of technology savvy innovators tirelessly seeking continuous improvement through automation and systems. We encourage applications from those possessing a similar ethos with the following skills:

  • Advanced level proficiency with Quickbooks Online and Google Sheets
  • Experience with productivity tools including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom and Monday.com
  • Tech-savvy early adopter with exceptional ability to rapidly learn and adapt to emerging technologies, platforms, and software solutions

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field (or equivalent work experience), with minimum 7+ years in bookkeeping and 5+ years in related operations

  • Ability to dial up or down your time commitment to the role which will require an average of 10 hours per week but at times may increase based on seasonality and growth of the business.
