Remote Scheduler for Interpreter Services

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and interpreters to facilitate both onsite and video-based interpreting services.
  • Efficiently assign interpreters (both staff and contractors) to fulfill daily operational needs, ensuring optimal efficiency while managing costs and prioritizing safety.
  • Keep precise and up-to-date records of qualified and trained interpreters across various interpreting settings, including video relay (VRS), video remote (VRI), and onsite services.
  • Provide operational support through data entry, reporting, and additional organizational tasks to guarantee seamless center functioning.
  • Proactively address scheduling complexities and escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Offer interpreting services as required to support center operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the workforce management department and engage in special projects as assigned.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years of workforce scheduling experience.
  • Proficient in database management and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry capabilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, independent work environment.
  • Familiarity with interpreting standards and practices (e.g., RID/NAD) is advantageous.
  • Experience as a sign language interpreter is preferred.
