Kitchen + Kocktails is looking for an EXPERIENCED Restaurant Reservations and Events Manager for our upscale, vibe-dining restaurant in Washington, DC! Only applicants with 3+ years of Reservation Sales and Events Management experience will be considered. This is a role that requires high energy and and above average interpersonal skills.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Sales and Marketing
  • Event Planning and management
  • Engaging customers (potential and repeat) through social media, email and/or phone calls to book and confirm reservations request.
  • Meeting sales goal(s) through reservations all days of open operation.
  • Confirming and placing 75 reservations per day.
  • Engaging and clearing daily email / social media request of restaurant.
  • Creating, updating and maintaining Reservations and Customer Service reference materials and procedures.​
  • Developing, monitoring, and reporting on departmental metrics and sales or service trends.
  • Maintaining an effective quality program to increase sales and deliver excellent customer service.​
  • Managing forms and files containing key guest information required prior to travel.​
  • Handling the overflow of inbound calls as well as escalated customer calls or issues that are not resolved through normal means.​
  • Hiring and developing staff to maintain a high quality, professional travel team.​
  • Managing the planning, scheduling, execution, and monitoring of all departmental tasks to ensure customer needs are met in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Assuming responsibilities for other projects as needed.​

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task, be a team player, and have strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral in a professional manner.
  • High energy, ability to remain focused on goals, working independently.
  • Experienced background in guest relations and/​or phone reservations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OpenTable/comparable booking platforms applications and the Internet.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field preferred.
  • Call center experience with an emphasis on sales.
