This position will be responsible for supporting the accounting function for intercompany accounting. Working with cross-department business leaders, tax, treasury, and local accounting teams to ensure a seamless process through proposal, approval and posting into the company’s financial statements. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, manage through ambiguity and complexity while supporting intercompany activity impacting the global accounting organization. Previous experience with intercompany accounting is considered a plus. This role requires excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify and communicate risks cross-functional teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead intercompany variance analysis, foreign exchange analysis and other processes during month-end close, including coordination with internal shared services team and engaging with global business and process accounting owners.
  • Support global intercompany restricted currency settlements across 35 countries, requiring coordination with regional accounting, tax and treasury teams.
  • Own process improvements including automations, and support system enhancements as a subject-matter expert.
  • Drive or support various aspects of our intercompany accounting and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with global internal controls.
  • Execute judgments to maintain healthy operational processes and ensure the right decisions are reached to close the books each month.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, or MBA
  • Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
  • Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
  • Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
  • Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
