What you'll be responsible for:

As the Senior Manager of Industry Marketing (Payments), you'll serve as a strategic partner to Circle's Business Development, Product Marketing, and the broader Marketing team. You'll help shape how we position Circle's platform within the payments and traditional finance ecosystem, translating complex opportunities into clear, actionable narratives. You will lead the development of research-driven insights, compelling go-to-market content, and field-enablement strategies that elevate Circle's presence in the industry in partnership with cross functional teams.

What you'll work on:

  • Partnering with Business Development and Product Marketing to support messaging, positioning, and execution across the full deal lifecycle from early engagement to post-deal go-to-market.

  • Developing research-backed perspectives on payments trends and Circle's unique value, working with internal and external sources to create compelling thought leadership.

  • Translating insights into high-impact marketing assets such as slide decks, docs, one-pagers, demo scripts, and web copy tailored to decision-makers.

  • Identifying and developing use cases within payments and traditional finance such as B2B payments, merchant acquiring, issuing, cross-border flows, and more.

  • Collaborating with Product Marketing to define the ideal customer profile (ICP) for key verticals and inform messaging strategies.

  • Working with Campaigns, Field, and Influencer Marketing to activate outreach to target audiences through tailored content and channel strategies.

  • Providing feedback loops into Product and go-to-market teams based on real-time market signals and Business Development interactions.

  • Contributing to the development of playbooks and repeatable go-to-market strategies by vertical.

What you'll bring to Circle:

Core Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in industry marketing, strategic go-to-market, or product marketing, ideally with a background in payments, banking, or financial infrastructure.

  • Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem including how value flows across issuing, acquiring, and money movement networks.

  • Experience partnering with sales or Business Development teams to influence deals and drive revenue outcomes.

  • Strong cross-functional instincts. You know how to align product, marketing, and go-to-market teams behind a shared vision.

  • Proven ability to develop clear, differentiated messaging and positioning for complex, technical products.

Preferred requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesize complexity into narratives that resonate with executives.

  • High integrity, curiosity, and a proactive approach to leadership in ambiguous environments.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range:

$160,000 - $207,500
