About the position

The Core Commerce Org at Recharge is a vital part of our business, responsible for managing and enhancing services that are essential to our operations, including Subscriptions, Orders, Customers, Credits, Discounts, Shipping, Taxes, and Integrations with Shopify. This team is dedicated to maintaining and improving these services from an operational standpoint while also developing key features that benefit our merchants and their customers. We are looking for engineers who thrive on taking ownership of the entire solution design and delivery process, particularly in extending our Subscriptions and Rewards platforms. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative environment where you will work closely with other team members to continuously seek improvements in our code base, processes, and your own skills. Our technology stack includes Python, Flask, Dapr, KEDA, Kubernetes, GCP Cloud Functions, Elasticsearch, Redis, Terraform, Helm, OpenTelemetry, Docker, Splunk, Signalfx, Sentry, SaaS, and CloudSQL/MySQL. We value diverse personalities and work styles, and we are looking for individuals who enjoy remote work but also appreciate collaboration. You should be comfortable with rapid prototyping and prioritizing ideas that have an immediate business impact. The fast-paced nature of the eCommerce world should excite you, and you should be adept at breaking down work into phases to deliver value consistently. Responsibilities

  • Experience with Python, Serverless, Kubernetes, and Cloud Platforms such as GCP or AWS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with micro-service architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other STEM-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrable cloud computing experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior e-commerce experience preferred.
