Job Summary:

The Solution Line Manager (SLM), for Data Centers will translate customer problems into solution capabilities offerings that can be deployed at scale to generate revenue growth and increased margins for the company. With in-depth technology knowledge about Belden solutions and a strong understanding of business case creation, the SLM is expected to lead the effort in identifying new solution opportunities, confirming their business case for Belden, and working with the Solution Architecture and Development teams to prepare them for commercial launch.

This is a remote role with the need to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally, and will report to the VP, Global Products & Solutions for Smart Infrastructure Solutions.

You will make a difference in the following ways:

  • Working with customers, vertical sales leader, and solution consultants to translate customer problems into salable solutions incorporating Belden products, software, and services with third-party offerings.
  • Ensuring solutions can leverage scale by incorporating input from multiple verticals.
  • Creating solution roadmaps that identify long-term plan for solution development along with identification of resources needed.
  • Creating of solution common reference architectures that enable repeatability while helping to identify gaps in Belden product portfolio to better enable future solutions.
  • Creating solution launch plans including all relevant commercial and marketing activities required for success.
  • Supporting sales, field applications engineering, and solutions consultant teams in creation of value proposition, strategic pricing, and overall product/solution support.
  • Creation of long-term strategy and vision for data center solutions at Belden.

What you bring:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelors' degree in Business, IT, or Engineering; Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in business development, product management, or solution management in telecommunications, IT, or datacom related business.
  • Relevant Knowledge: Strong technical understanding in IT networking technologies and software solutions such as Ethernet IP, SD-WAN, Wifi, 5GNR; PON, WDM, etc. Knowledge and experience with CRM system tools (e.g. SFDC, DeskPro).
  • Demonstrated Skills: Proven track record within a solutions role in the data center environment; Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and recommend solutions to manage customer challenges;Strong organizational, prioritization and communication skills; Ability to translate complex, technical information into comprehensible conversation with a non-technical audience.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $150,000-190,000.00, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.
