Job Summary

The Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Merchandisers and maintaining merchandising standards within a designated geographic area.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to the merchandising team through coaching and provides consistent performance feedback. Conduct team meetings and set clear expectations.
  • Review and analyze daily route plans and work assignments to ensure customer service levels are met. Help prioritize work assignments for merchandisers to meet sales, delivery, and customer needs. As needed, work in the role of the Merchandiser during staffing vacancies, training new employees, and work weekends and holidays to support the customer.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition as needed. Ensure productive on-boarding and training experience. Assist in setting up and managing the merchandiser's equipment.
  • Manage operating expenses and labor budgets while meeting customer service needs. Reviews timekeeping records to ensure accurate hours, mileage and to monitor overtime. Adhere to the processes for uniforms, phones, and other equipment.
  • Visits customer accounts to monitor adherence to merchandising standards. Complete weekly performance and product rotation audits. Holds team accountable to merchandising standards.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure teammates receive proper safe working techniques in the trade and that they have the proper equipment. Identify and report any unsafe working conditions. Comply with all company policies and procedures.


Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of work experience required.
  • Two years supervision or leadership experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in consumer products or retail required.
  • Intermediate computer application and technology skills.
  • Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks and electrical forklifts. Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) certification upon hire is required.
  • Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, driving record within policy guidelines including no major violations within the last three years.
  • This position requires you to use your personal vehicle during work hours with reimbursement. Proof of insurance covering business use is required at time of hire.

Pay: $56,170 - $66,702 a year
