JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

Directs and supervises a team of operations/maintenance personnel in a cross-functional multi-craft, multi-skilled plant environment at a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant. The position's primary responsibility is supervising the maintenance department but will include periodic responsiveness to start-up and dispatch requests as well as occasional backfilling for the Operations Supervisor on shift as needed.

 

 JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures Safe work practices that comply with all OSHA and Entergy Safety Processes
  • Provides Compliance oversight relating to NERC and Environmental requirements
  • Ensures all employees are trained and held to the standards set forth in the Conduct of Maintenance
  • Provides direct supervision to hourly multi-craft employees during a 10 hour shift Mon-Thursday
  • Ensures that all planned and unplanned maintenance is performed according to the CoM
  • Ensures the quality WR’s are submitted, executed and closed out properly per the CoM
  • Supports Supply Chain with inventory, parts and procurement
  • Provides and supports budget/project development and cost control
  • Provides contract management/contractor oversight duties for baseline activities and outages.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education required of the position:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  •  

 Minimum experience required of the position:

  • 5+ years of Power Plant Operations/Maintenance Experience

 

  • Desired:
    • Control Room Operator qualification
    • Experience with Combined Cycle plant technology, Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, DCS Controls
    • Experience with Predictive Maintenance Programs
    • Experience with Preventative Maintenance Programs
    • Experience with Routine Maintenance Programs
    • Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance Programs
    • Experience with Maximo, AIMM and TRACS
    • Experience with Project Outage Database
    • Ability to operate the Unit including S/U and S/D

 Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:

  • Should possess excellent oral, written and computer skills
  • Ability to build strong team through leadership and interpersonal skills is a must
