about this team

The Team Program Account Manager is the face of our brand. They grow our wholesale business by sourcing and maintaining the right small and large Team and Sports based accounts that acquire a new guest for lululemon, provide a competitive barrier, and retain current guests while generating revenue ranging from $6M - $10M Wholesale per year ($12M - $20M Retail). These 500-1000 independently owned accounts per Account Manager include Teams of all levels, from the most elite teams within the top Professional sports leagues, to Club teams looking for a competitive edge. They partner with the most influential teams that can grow the lululemon brand and drive revenue to our own vertical channels.

core responsibilities

  • Identify new strategic partners and develop brand building relationships in new and existing markets, while managing the existing portfolio of partnerships focusing on quality growth.
  • Always looking ahead for innovative and strategic ways to support lululemon’s growth as a brand
  • Work cross-functionally with partners in Community, Sports Marketing, and Product to understand and fulfil the unique needs of each of the markets in the area you are managing.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of the Team partnership business including, but not limited to, application process, onboarding to order timeline, day to day account management, Pre buys, contracts, account closures, strategic pilots and initiatives and partner experience.
  • You work in close collaboration with the Program Manager and your peers on the Team Program strategy.
  • Support the Key Market and Community strategies within North America by providing insights, recommendations, and working closely with the Community team on a frequent basis.
  • Works in collaboration with Senior Retail Directors and Regional Managers to understand area vision and strategies per market.
  • Partners with Campus and Arena Account Managers to drive assortment and support program growth within Team, Campus, and Arena
  • Lead market planning conversations with cross-functional partners in community and retail operations to support store pipeline in new markets.
  • Partner with Merchants and Planners to share Team product trends, insights, and roadblocks
  • Provide product education, buying recommendations and buying strategies to elevate your partnerships and our brand
  • Confidently track sales to report on business trends and be responsible for a quarterly and yearly sales plans.
  • Manage our brand integrity including pricing policy, web logo usage, A/R accounts as applicable and other terms as laid out in the lululemon Team Guidelines and/or lululemon retailer agreement.
  • Strategically manages quarterly budget, including timely expense management and reports
  • Intentionally plans market travel within the US and Canada 6-8 days per month

qualifications

  • You are an independent leader; this is a field-based position, and the successful candidate must be located on the East Coast and willing and able to travel 6-8 days per month within the US and Canada
  • 3+ years of experience in sports and team sales
  • 3+ years of experience in a relationship management, sales or retail leadership role
  • Experience within and a passion for the world of sports
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft 365, Excel, Smartsheet
  • PowerBI experience is an asset
  • Experience managing budgets and allocating resources with complete decision-making authority
  • Highly organised with strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Experience in a professional sports environment is an asset

compensation and benefits package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognises exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $81,100 – 106,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
