<p style="margin: 0; text-align: center"><strong><u>OVERVIEW & PURPOSE:</u></strong></p><br><p style="margin: 0">Under general supervision, maintain the cleanliness of the ICATS fleet and related facilities.  Reports to the Operations Manager.</p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: center"><strong><u>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</u></strong></p><br><p style="margin: 0">Perform such cleaning duties as sweeping, mopping floors, and vacuuming seats and upholstery using appropriate cleaning equipment.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Clean and disinfect all areas of the vehicle after hazmat interactions.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Dust and wash windows, mirrors, interior glass, window casing and tracks, ledges and overhead compartments.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Clean and shampoo upholstery if applicable.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Wash walls, handrails, overhead compartment doors to remove such items as splash marks, fingerprints and grease marks. </p><br><p style="margin: 0">Clean and polish, mirrors and any chrome areas.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Adjust seating as needed for handicap accessibility.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Empty trash from vehicles.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Resupply fleet vehicles with any needed supplies such as paper towels and hand sanitizer.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Requests supplies as needed.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Report damage, malfunctions and other irregularities of the vehicle to supervisor.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Turn in lost and found articles, putting them in the lost and found cabinet and recording each item found on the sheet. </p><br><p style="margin: 0">Follow ICATS policies and OSHA safety regulations.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Properly clean and maintain equipment and work area at the end of each shift.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Keeps worker's storage and work areas clean at all times.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Perform related duties as assigned including but not limited to the following:</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Changing shifts temporarily to perform detailed cleaning of specific vehicles and/or ICATS facilities.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Cleaning of areas other than vehicles, including buildings and grounds, as requested.</p><br><p style="margin: 0"><strong><u>ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:</u></strong></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">Performs other related work as required.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: center"><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:</u></strong></p><br><p style="margin: 0">Pre-soak or rinse the exterior of the bus with cleaning solutions or water manually or using a hose.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Scrub, scrape, or spray bus when needed may require using equipment for brushing, scraping, cleaning, and disinfecting.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Usage of uniform or proper clothing for manual washing and bus drying may involve using acid, abrasives, vacuums, and hoses.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">According to formulas, mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Cleaning and polishing of bus vehicle windows.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Cleaning of items within the bus units.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Cleaning interior.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Applying sanitizer in the vehicle.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Inspect buses for cleanliness and comply with standards or regulations.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Cleaned inside of operations building, cleaned and sanitized bathrooms, vacuumed carpet, mopped tile floors, and disposed of trash.</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Dusting and cleaning of hard surfaces, windows, etc.</p><p style="margin: 0; text-align: center"><strong><u>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE “REQUIREMENTS”:</u></strong></p><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, techniques, and equipment.</span></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">High School Diploma/GED is required.   </span></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Frequent lifting of up to approximately 50 lbs. is required.</span></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">This position involves extensive bending, stretching, and twisting to complete the job duties. </span></p><br><p style="margin: 0"><strong><u>ADDITIONAL “REQUIREMENTS”:</u></strong></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">Must be bondable and able to relate to people of all ages and economic and ethnic backgrounds. </p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">Must comply with NCDOT/FTA requirements for pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol tests as deemed appropriate by the Iredell County Area Transportation System current approved Substance Testing Policy.  </p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">Must have a telephone. </p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">Must have at least a North Carolina Class C Driver’s License.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0">Background checks are performed as a condition of employment and performed every three years thereafter. </p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong><u>“PREFERRED” QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong> NONE.</p>
