About the position

As a Warranty Claims Processor at Patterson, you will be responsible for processing and monitoring dental equipment warranty claims and act as a liaison between field service personnel and manufacturers on warranty policies. You will also act as a liaison between vendors and internal financial shared services to ensure proper payment by vendors and credits are applied to Patterson Dental. This role is crucial in ensuring that warranty claims are handled efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization. In this position, you will utilize both Company and vendor programs to monitor incoming claims, receive feedback from vendors regarding claim credits and declines, and communicate back to field service. You will be responsible for contacting internal financial shared services or field branch locations regarding aging claims to ensure prompt return to and credit from vendor partners. Additionally, you will research warranty requirement policies for multiple vendors and handle parts processing, which includes receiving incoming shipments of parts from field service on a daily basis, consolidating parts by vendor, and ensuring all appropriate documentation accompanies each returnable part. Claims processing will involve entering required claim/returns data into vendor portals, updating the SAP system to reflect the status of returns/claims, and utilizing Company programs to research and answer inquiries from both internal and external partners. You will also create required shipping documents and maintain clear communication by creating concise email and/or fax communications. Understanding and clearly explaining claim requirements, resolving warranty claim discrepancies, and communicating changes in vendor warranty policies to the internal OCM group for change management distribution are also key responsibilities of this role.

  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong customer service orientation or related experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a customer service environment.
  • Efficient use of technology and core computer skills, including knowledge in Excel.
  • Ability to move 15-20 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
