About the Role

We are seeking experienced Insurance Contracting Specialists to join our team in California. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, negotiating, and maintaining provider contracts with insurance carriers, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and other payers. You will ensure contracts are compliant with state and federal regulations while supporting our organization’s operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

Research, initiate, and complete insurance contracting and credentialing processes for healthcare providers.

Negotiate contract terms, reimbursement rates, and participation agreements with commercial and government payers.

Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and effective dates.

Collaborate with billing, compliance, and operations teams to ensure smooth payer onboarding.

Monitor payer requirements, policy changes, and fee schedules.

Serve as a liaison between the organization and insurance companies.

Track contract renewals and ensure timely updates.

Requirements

Experience in insurance contracting and credentialing for healthcare providers in California.

In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial insurance requirements.

Strong understanding of California healthcare regulations and payer compliance standards.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and credentialing software or databases.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.

3+ years of healthcare insurance contracting experience.

Familiarity with mobile healthcare, home health, wound care, or specialty medical services.
