About the position

Basecamp Consulting and Solutions LLC is seeking an API Specialist to join our dynamic team in Reston, Virginia. This position is a full-time role that reports to the Lead Account Executive and is designed to be hybrid, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work. As an API Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the development, integration, and optimization of API services that are essential for our clients' success. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs to ensure seamless integration and functionality across various platforms and applications. In this role, you will develop, design, and maintain high-performing APIs, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, secure, and meet the specific requirements of our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, providing API solutions and guidance that align with business needs. As the subject matter expert on APIs, you will support the creation of detailed API documentation and provide assistance for API integration and usage. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to API performance, functionality, and security will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that we deliver high-quality results. You will also implement API monitoring and logging solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Staying updated with the latest API technologies, trends, and best practices will be essential, as you will incorporate these insights into the development process. This position requires a strong commitment to quality work and a passion for leveraging emerging technologies to drive client success.
