In this position, you will grow your Product Management skills while formalizing product requirements and identifying customer and market needs for the integration of Esri’s ArcGIS system and Microsoft software. This integration enables customers to inform traditional data workflows with the spatial component, so that a new perspective and new information can drive the decision-making process.

The successful candidate will have proven knowledge of ArcGIS capabilities, customer workflows, and a strong desire to develop Product Management expertise. Your emphasis will be on customer interaction, being the product expert, building team relationships, and influencing the product’s development priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and communicate how customers are using the ArcGIS for Microsoft 365 product family and discover new problems we can solve with innovative features and workflows that drive value
  • Formalize product requirements and identify customer needs
  • Create Voice of Customer reports and engage with users through Esri Community and select customer briefings
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on initiatives, such as Customer Success Stories and other product marketing programs
  • Develop competence by performing assignments with independent thought and discretion
  • Participate and contribute to product planning meetings while demonstrating product knowledge based on your expertise and customer experiences
  • Contribute your expertise and experience to product vision, planning, and strategy by coordinating with more senior product management team members
  • Write technical white papers and assist with generation of marketing materials and social media marketing including blogs
  • Provide product expertise with key customers to understand their business needs and assist with mission critical projects
  • Ensure internal launch readiness for product updates with sales, technical support, customer service, and training
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in a product role, such as product management, engineering, development, or support
  • Experience in gathering and interpreting qualitative product data and consumer feedback
  • Ability to identify improved product features and contribute to marketing strategies
  • Proficiency in compiling project status, risk management, and marketing reports
  • Ability to maintain strong customer relations and provide product support
  • Competency in training sales teams on new product features and a product’s core value
  • Ability to work well with remote management and staff across various Esri departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, creative, and team oriented
  • Requirement for travel 10-20% of the time for strategic meetings, events, and/or tradeshows
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field or in business
Recommended Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role would be advantageous
  • Technical experience using business analytic software, data transformations, and new technologies in the area of data analytics and visualization
  • Experience with geospatial technology, mapping, and location-based content
  • Experience in Pragmatic Marketing Framework

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $68,640.00 - $114,400.00.
