Purpose of the Role:

MustardSeed is looking for a strategic content writer to help drive our sales and marketing efforts through engaging, on-brand content. The ideal candidate will translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling material tailored to professionals in the life sciences industry.

This content will live across our website, social media, newsletters, and sales collateral—ultimately building brand awareness and generating inbound leads.

This role will work closely with our brand strategist, CEO, and Sales Team. A collaborative spirit and team-first mindset are essential.

Scope of Work:

1. Social Media Content (Organic)

  • Draft LinkedIn content for our sales team and MustardSeed’s company page
  • Draft Facebook content for MustardSeed’s company page

2. Case Studies

  • Create both short-form and long-form case studies showcasing how MustardSeed project managers deliver value to be used on our website, in sales materials, and in campaigns.

3. Newsletters

  • Write monthly newsletters for prospects, current clients, and our broader network
  • Topics may include recent wins, industry trends, team features, or new offering.

4. Blog Posts

  • Write blog articles that align with SEO and lead-generation goals

5. HubSpot Support (~20% of the role)

  • Manage content distribution, website updates, basic campaign setup, and light reporting within HubSpot.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for a content writer who brings a strong mix of the following experience and capabilities:

  • Proven experience writing content for professional services firms
  • Excellent grammar, storytelling, and ability to reflect brand tone and voice
  • Track record of driving engagement or generating inbound leads from B2B audiences
  • Ability to translate technical or complex subjects into clear, digestible content
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and organic social media strategies
  • Proficiency in HubSpot CRM and marketing tools
  • Experience in life sciences, biotech, pharma, or med device (preferred)
  • Understanding of project management terminology and workflows (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $40–$50 per hour, commensurate with experience
