Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with various workplace health and safety teams and other interns on a safety-related project.
  • Research, interpret, and share data to support a safety-related recommendation as part of your final project.
  • Assist in designing, building, improving, and innovating order fulfillment safety programs, projects, and initiatives across the three lanes of Amazon's fulfillment infrastructure.

Fulfillment Infrastructure Overview

We operate three major lanes: first mile, middle mile, and last mile. Each lane plays a crucial role in delivering customer satisfaction:

  1. First Mile: Products are stored and made ready for picking when an order is placed.
  2. Middle Mile: Orders are sorted and prepared for distribution to specific areas, ensuring efficient logistics and transportation.
  3. Last Mile: The final leg of the journey, where products are delivered right to customers' doorsteps.

About the Program

This 10-week internship offers hands-on experience in workplace health and safety, including OSHA10 certification, first aid training, technical writing, and project management skills. You'll work closely with various teams to improve safety processes and present your findings to senior leadership.

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an expected completion date between December 2026 and August 2027.
  • Working towards a degree in health science, safety engineering, or related fields.
  • Interest in or previous experience in safety-related employment.
  • Knowledge of Canadian OHS Provincial Laws.
