We are seeking driven Independent Medicare Sales Agents to connect with Medicare-eligible individuals, educate them on their options, and enroll them in plans that best suit their needs. This is a performance-based, commission-only (1099) position where your success directly translates into significant earnings, with typical per-sale compensation reaching up to $350 or more for initial enrollments, depending on the plan type and carrier.

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity, offering unparalleled flexibility and direct control over your income.

What You'll Do:

As an Independent Medicare Sales Agent, you will be responsible for guiding prospective clients through the complex world of Medicare. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Client Education: Clearly and accurately explain various Medicare options, including Medicare Advantage (Part C), Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D), and Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans, as well as ancillary products.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs analyses to understand each client's unique healthcare requirements, preferences, and budget.
  • Plan Recommendation & Enrollment: Recommend suitable Medicare plans based on client needs and assist with the complete enrollment process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Lead Management: Effectively manage inbound inquiries (if leads are provided by the company) and/or cultivate your own leads to build a robust client pipeline.
  • Compliance: Strictly adhere to all Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations, ethical guidelines, and carrier-specific compliance requirements.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and facilitate renewals.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential client records in CRM systems.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with changes in Medicare regulations, plan offerings, and industry best practices through ongoing training and self-study.

What We're Looking For:

  • Active Health Insurance License: Must hold a valid, active Health Insurance License in your resident state and be willing to obtain non-resident licenses in additional states as needed.
  • AHIP Certified: Current year AHIP (America's Health Insurance Plans) certification for selling Medicare Advantage and Part D plans, or willingness to obtain immediately.
  • Proven Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to close sales, meet or exceed targets, and build rapport with clients. Previous experience in insurance sales, particularly Medicare, is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to explain complex information clearly, listen actively, and build trust with diverse clients over the phone.
  • Self-Motivated & Independent: Strong entrepreneurial spirit, highly disciplined, and capable of managing your own schedule and workload effectively without direct supervision.
  • Ethical Conduct: Unwavering commitment to integrity, honesty, and putting the client's best interests first.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems, online quoting tools, video conferencing, and other digital platforms for sales and client management.
