MEDIA INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

We seek a driven, organized, and polished Media Intelligence Analyst to join our digital team. The ideal candidate enjoys analyzing data to provide clients with actionable insights and strategic recommendations. This role would help lead reporting for media intelligence and competitive intelligence. The candidate should have experience with competitive intelligence, media monitoring tools, and social listening platforms, with the ability to identify industry trends and make informed recommendations. This role will specifically be working a non-traditional schedule of nights and weekends.

The Media Intelligence Analyst must have previous client-facing experience along with excellent presentation and storytelling skills. They must be able to synthesize research findings into well-written and visually compelling summary reports and presentations. Responsibilities Include:

  • Media Intelligence
  • Help build out a high-impact media intelligence program
  • Prepare reports and translate complex findings
  • Responsible for facilitating measurement reporting, and mining for key insights from campaign performance
  • Understand measurement principles in the media industry, such as impressions, reach, etc.
  • Create objective, insightful, concise media summaries of secured coverage
  • Maintains coverage trackers with strong attention to detail
  • Competitive Intelligence
  • Conduct research and real-time monitoring of competitors' developments, proactive announcements, financial conferences, earnings releases, and crises
  • Write and distribute notable takeaways and insights to leadership
  • Agency Responsibilities:
  • Continuously expand social media capabilities to meet client and agency needs
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to grow client accounts and support new business
Platforms experience is required:
  • News monitoring tools, such as Cision, Critical Mention, TV Eyes, and Smartsheets
  • Preferred but not required: Translation platforms (such as Trint), Social analytics and listening platforms (i.e., Sprinklr, ListenFirst, Meltwater), data visualization (such as Tableau), in-depth knowledge of Excel, Feedly, and experience with social media platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and more)
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in content analysis and/or social media analytics. Preference for candidates with a PR, marketing, and/or advertising agency background.
  • Have excellent verbal, storytelling, and written skills and an ability to develop and present compelling client presentations.
  • Be able to effectively utilize intelligence and software tools to analyze and synthesize complex information.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with a proven ability to be proactive in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Always look for ways to improve and enhance your work and strive for continued improvement.
  • Be supportive, caring, and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Be willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Have a high proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
