Key Responsibilities:Pre-Litigation Case Management:

Organize and maintain all case-related documentation, such as medical records, police reports, insurance information, and witness statements.
Communicate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other third parties to gather essential case documentation.
Assist attorneys in developing and executing pre-litigation strategies, including demand letters, settlement negotiations, and case assessments.
Assess claim value by reviewing medical records, bills, and accident reports; prepare and organize evidence for potential settlement or litigation.

Litigation Support:

Draft and file legal documents required for litigation, including complaints, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and responses.
Prepare and assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and case strategies.
Manage discovery by assisting with document production, interrogatories, and depositions.
Communicate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progression.

Claims Management & Negotiation:

Investigate claims by gathering relevant facts, documents, and evidence to assess the validity of the claim.
Calculate damages, including medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering, and work with attorneys to assess settlement offers.
Negotiate subrogation interests with insurance companies and represent the firm’s interests in settlement discussions.
Communicate with clients and insurance adjusters to facilitate resolution.

Administrative & Legal Support:

Maintain case files and enter case notes into legal case management systems.
Schedule and coordinate client meetings, depositions, medical evaluations, and court appearances.
Assist with filing documents and maintaining an organized digital case file system.

Required Skills and Qualifications:Education & Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury law, with demonstrated proficiency in both pre-litigation and litigation stages.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with a Washington-based personal injury law firm.
In-depth knowledge of Washington State personal injury law, including pre-litigation processes, discovery, and litigation strategies.
Experience with legal case management software and proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), and MyCase.

Skills & Attributes:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, attorneys, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with experience assessing claim values and negotiating settlements.
Compassionate, empathetic, and driven by a desire to help clients achieve the best possible outcome.
Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus but not a requirement.
